Mental stress is the minds response to stress. 

Stress is a condition in which we feel under pressure  therefore threatening and challenging our being.

Mental stress can be caused by our some of the following to an extended degree; social pressure, relationship stress, work stress, no relax time, bad financial situations,  bad circumstances, abuse, discrimination, bullying and so much more. 

WHAT ARE THE SIGNS OF MENTAL STRESS?
Signs of mental stress are confusion, panic attacks, insomnia, disorientation, low self-esteem, nightmares, tension and obsessive thoughts among others.

HOW TO CONTROL MENTAL STRESS

  • Avoid what makes you stressed.
  • Set Priorities and focus on them one at a time. Practice time management.
  • Know when to stop worrying.
  • Exercise and eat a balanced diet.
  • Journal all your feeling of stress.
  • Avoid pessimism and be optimistic about life.
  • Do not alienate yourself. Spend time with your positive friends and family.
  • Do what you love but avoid perfectionism.
  • Give up unhealthy ways of coping with stress such as alcoholism, smoking, self harm.
  • Do not release your stress on others e.g. through anger or alienation or in any negative way.
