Practices for Maintaining Body Safety

Physical Safety🙂‍↔️🚹🚺

  • Take care of your physical body by keeping your body hydrated🥛, doing exercises🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️‍➡️, and staying away from places that could cause harm to your physical body📌🚷🚫.

  • Be aware of signs of unhealthy or abusive relationships and take action to protect yourself🚷.

  • Most African cultures put pressure to say girls shouldn't speak out to other people especially when someone within the home is sexually abusing them. This shouldn't be the case as everyone has a right to speak out and get justice concerning their physical body.

Emotional Safety

  • Trust your instincts🧐.

  • Set boundaries, communicate limits, and be assertive🙂🫵.

  • Clearly communicate your boundaries and expectations to others, ensuring they understand what you are not comfortable with.

Environmental Safety

  •     Avoid environments that have a negative impact on your mental well-being.

  •     Engage in self-care activities🧘‍♀️🙂‍↔️🙂‍↕️.

  •     Recognize your feelings and seek help when needed🫂.

Body Safety is an important aspect of overall well-being 📌💯.
